It is with immense honor and pride that I stand before you today to announce that Zambia will be the host of the WorldSkills Africa Conference and Competition in Livingstone, scheduled for April 2025. This prestigious event
represents not only Zambia’s commitment but also the entire continent’s dedication to advancing skills development and empowering our youth.
As the minister of science and technology, I am particularly proud to lead this important initiative. It aligns seamlessly with our government’s priorities and our vision for a more skilled, innovative, and prosperous Africa. We see this event as an opportunity to showcase Zambia’s expertise while also learning from our African brothers and sisters. It is a chance to foster a spirit of collaboration and innovation across our great continent.
As we look forward to the WorldSkills Africa Conference and Competition in Livingstone, I urge you all to recognize the vital importance of skills development in driving economic growth and industrialization.
