It is with immense pride and honour, we announce Zambia’s hosting of the prestigious WorldSkills Africa Livingstone 2025 and WorldSkills Africa conference in our beautiful tourist capital, Livingstone. This prestigious event, will showcase skills excellence in vocational training and innovation from the brightest young minds and talented individuals from across Africa.
Hosting the event underscores our dedication to nurturing talents of our young people, who are the future of Zambia and Africa. We remain steadfast in our commitment to empowering Zambia’s youth with the skills and knowledge on the premise of our drive for economic growth, industrialization, and sustainable development. Skills are cornerstone pillars, essential to our nation’s progress and prosperity. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the leadership of WorldSkills International and The African Union for electing Zambia, through us, to host WorldSkills Africa Livingstone 2025. The continental platform for skills excellence aligns perfectly well with our country’s vision 2030 and the African union’s agenda 2063. We are honored to play a leading role in this transformative initiative.
We are proud of the outstanding work that WorldSkills international has done to promote skills excellence and development globally.
We are particularly pleased with the initiative taken in 2019 to sign a memorandum of understanding with the African union commission to establish WorldSkills Africa. The official launch of WorldSkills Africa on 17 February 2024, during the 37th assembly of the heads of state and government of the African union, marked a significant milestone in advancing vocational education and training across our continent.
The people of Zambia, and our government, fully support WorldSkills Africa—a platform that collaborates with the African union to facilitate, manage, and implement projects, skills development, competitions, and activities that will propel Africa forward.
As we prepare to host WorldSkills Africa Livingstone 2025, we extend a warm invitation to all African countries to join us in making this event a monumental success. The competition and conference will leave a lasting legacy, inspiring our youth, students, and lifelong learners to view skills excellence as a powerful solution to the challenges facing our continent today.
